Many people are “talking the talk” about sustainability and conservation. Waterra is helping many to “walk the walk.” The buzz about Waterra is growing as workplaces, schools and universities, clubs, and senior residences are making a change that is easy and makes good sense.
Schools – Students now have a flavorful, low sugar, low calorie beverage choice at school. Unhealthy sodas, high calorie sports drinks and juices are being pulled out of cafeterias and hallways in order to offer a sustainable, healthy choice to children. Refillable water bottles are carried and meal cards are swiped as students choose their favorite flavor or flavor combination. Children are excited about the choice of flavors and the great taste of Waterra.
Universities – College students have been carrying refillable water bottles for some time as they lead the way to sustainable lifestyles. Waterra gives students a desirable option to refill their water bottles throughout the day. The students’ voices have been heard as Waterra is welcomed into bookstores and dining halls.
Health Clubs – With a focus on health and fitness, Waterra is embraced by club members who seek out a delicious and healthy way to stay hydrated. Club goers can fill their reusable water bottles with a low calorie, low sugar drink. Most Waterra beverages have 10 calories and 2-3 grams of sugar per 8 oz. Sports drink and energy drink options have become a favorite of those seeking a healthy alternative to high calorie beverages
Senior Living Facilities and Senior Centers – Dehydration is a major threat to the health and well-being of seniors. It is the #1 admitting cause of hospitalization for seniors. Many older folks do not like to drink the amount of water that is required in order to sustain good health and wellness. Waterra has provided a flavorful, delicious way for seniors to stay hydrated. Some senior homes have introduced “Happy Hour” where Waterra is flowing. Seniors are sampling flavors and enjoying flavor combinations as they hydrate in an enjoyable way.
Police Stations – officers are carrying their refillable water bottles and filling with Waterra at the Police Station before taking to their car or the streets. Waterra is enjoyed at meals and while officers spend time at headquarters.
Country Clubs – Members enjoy Waterra as the socialize in the clubhouse. Waterra is flowing into refillable water bottles at the pro shops as members stay hydrated while playing golf and tennis. Consumable waste is cut back tremendously as plastic water bottle use decreases.
Waterra employs disabled workers as a means to give someone a chance at a meaningful career or a second chance to re-enter the workforce after a life changing event or accident that resulted in a disability. Waterra has designed positions that enable our associates to excel and exceed expectations.
Waterra donated time and funding to support breast cancer research. Waterra was heavily involved in “Racquets for the Cure, “a tennis tournament in Greensboro, North Carolina that donated funds raised to Susan G. Komen Foundation.
Waterra continues to donate time and expertise to Vocational Rehabilitation in Alamance County, North Carolina. Time was donated to train VR staff in the best practices to promote hiring of workers with disabilities.
